Many do not consider the long-term effects that fast food has on our bodies. Imagine you and a friend right now. You became more aware of what you’re eating and stopped consuming fast food. You wake up earlier, are more productive and overall feel good about yourself. Your friend, who kept consuming fast food, is sluggish, lethargic and is struggling with their weight. Some of you are probably thinking who cares if I’m a little overweight? Now imagine you and the same friend at 50 years old. You just got done playing football with your children and now all of you guys are going in the pool to swim and cool off. You cut out fast food from your life, and now you don’t only feel good, but you also look good for your age. Your friend continued eating fast food. He is still struggling with his weight and has become diabetic. He wants to play and spend time with his children, but he has to keep checking his blood glucose levels since it increases with too much exercise. Your friend is tired all the time and their kids are confused and upset that they do not get to spend as much time with their parent as they would like to.
